Right now the text in all my posts is the same width as the images. I'd like the images to stay at 1280px and the text width to be smaller, maybe 800px.
Sorry to jump in. Are you using Soledad? I cannot answer your question as I am trying to get my text in post not to be full width, but I like your social links footer and wonder if you can tell me how you did it.
Hi there :)

See reference images below.
Hi,
I just can help you re-size the posts content to 800px.
Please add more this code to Customize > Custom CSS to do that:
Change number 800 to the size you want.

That works with the text but now the images within the post are also limited in size.
" I'd like the images to stay at 1280px and the text width to be smaller, maybe 800px."
Is there a way to edit the code so that the text is 800px but the images within the post stay at 1280px?

Hi,
I understand what do you said.
But, as I said in my previous comment, I just can help you change the container width for posts.
You can't make the images in the posts display like you want. Only CSS can't do that.

So essentially you're saying there's nothing that can be done.
In which case, the theme coding and design is flawed because this seems like a pretty simple feature to me.
If I get a web developer to look at this for me and change some code to allow for the images to be a different width to the text
Hi,
It's not easy like you think.
You can ask any developer for this feature. Requirements them process with any images - need to display ok. Without use javascript.
We don't need to lie you because you're an our customer
