Dear Stranger is both a category and a page I created within my site.
The tab “dear stranger” was built using visual composer. in my homepage, i have the category above the posts in magazine format to drive traffic to that section ... but when i click “dear stranger” category title it brings me to the category page - i would like it to click to the dear stranger page itself. Is that possible?

The "dear stranger" on your homepage is a category - of course it need to link to category. You can't make it link to a page.

Unfortunately, You can't change category page by use Visual Composer - it's impossible for all wordpress themes, not just for this theme.
