I purchased the Soledad theme and used it on my website. Turns out that after I started using this theme, the page load time has increased significantly. Previously, the full page load time as per GT Metrix used to be around 5 second. With Soledad, the same has increased to 53 seconds! These times are measured with GT Metrix default settings.
And yes, after I installed Soledad, I removed several plugins. There were 19 plugins before Soledad and now there are 13 (12 active and 1 inactive). So, I cannot even say that the plugins are causing the issue. The one plugin that is inactive is that of Penci AMP.
Could you please look into the matter and help me in lowering the page load time?
Im still new to soledad but there are 2 things you want to consider. Use a caching plugin if you are not using one. The second is using a CDN. The images weigh on the pages, CDN should fix most of the issues.
I am just adding that as a rule your page shouldnt be more than 3MB at most, best results if you can keep it under 2MB. That fact your page is over 7MB means you are not optimizing the images.

Hi,
GT Metrix doesn't give the correct results.
I just checked on your pingdom speed and your site just has 5s for load:
Check this image: http://prntscr.com/hufg9o
If you want to get more speed, you can do following this guide to improve your site speed.
