Using video from gallery in posts

    Hi. I’ve uploaded a video to my gallery and I want assign it to a post and see it as a post thumbnail in my homepage that when i click on it, it start to play; exactly like as what you did on Soledad Video Theme that when I click on thumbnails, it starts to play.

    Hi,

    To make click on thumbnail to play videos, you need to do followings:

    1/ Create a post format video.

    2/ Enable click thumbnail to play video via Customize > Other Layout Options > Enable Click on Posts Thumbnail to Play Video

    But How can I create a post format video?

    Also How can I add video to post for playing with clicking on thumbnail?

    Hi,

    To create a post format video, please do following steps:

    1/ Make sure you install & activate plugin Vafpress Post Formats UI - If not, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and install this plugin.

    2/ Go to edit a post, on the edit a post screen, active video tab above posts title and find your video url.

    Check this image.

    Thanks. But I don't want a video from youtube. As I said, I want a video from my Gallery. How can I do this for a video from my Gallery?

    Hi,

    If so, please upload your video to youtube and put the link there.

    For now, this theme doesn't support self-hosted video for this feature.

    1) Does it just support youtube? Can I use other streamer's links for this purpose?

    2) Also what is the best way to add a video to a post? Is it ok to do this by add media?

    Also how can I add a video by video URL in video format post? Should I use iframe? Can you send me it's code please?

    Hi,

    1/ It does supports youtube, vimeo.

    2/ You can try use this plugin to insert it to your content.

    3/ Have you check the image I sent before? You can use URL or iframe of youtube/vimeo.
