You can select all the posts you want to display on featured slider by do following steps:
a/ Create a new category - Example: "Slider"
b/ Add all the posts you want to display on the slider to this category.
c/ Go to Customize > Featured Slider Options > on "Select Featured Category" > select category "Slider" and check to "Hide Featured Category" to hide category 'Slider' appears on your site.
I did that as you said, Thanks for your help. I named the category "latest posts", however, in some posts it shows the "Latest posts" category in the breadcrumb (check this page http://www.waveglobe.fm/odetta-voice-civil-rights-movement/). I believe that's because of the alphabetic order of categories, I guess I can add a "Z" at the begining of the "Latest Posts" to make sure it is always the last one, but I think that would be great if we could select categories to be shown in the slider.
