    Hi,

I'm finishing off the design of some of my pages and running some tests on the gtmetrix site to make sure I'm heading in the right direction for optimization etc.

    when i run the link;

    https://www.irishweddingcollective.com/irish-wedding-suppliers/

through GTMetrix, it says that all of the images are being scaled down using CSS from 1170x1755 to 270x405, and my page size is therefore huge.

It looks as though this page isn't using any of the thumbnails the theme generates on upload.  I've looked at the thumbnails your theme uses and none of them seem to match these dimensions.

How can I get the theme to use the smaller images generated rather than scale down the full size images with CSS?

    Hear from you soon,

    Thanks

    Hi,

That based on the images you're using - not from our theme.

Also, I see that page is a sub-page, you don't need to worries about speed for that page because with me, it's load quite fast.

    Hi,

So you're saying that for this page we need to upload the original images at 270x405?  The theme is generating lots of different thumbnail/image sizes, so I don't understand why it doesn't use them in the single images that are smaller?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Yeah, that's right.

All the images we regenerate use for our all layouts of this theme - not on the picture elements from Visual Composer you're using.

    Hi,

That's really disappointing.  If we just upload 270x405 images, when the site goes responsive on mobiles/tablets they'll be too small and look pixellated so that's not really a workable solution for me.

This page is to feature a grid of clickable images which direct you to the particular supplier profiles. Is there a way that I can make the clickable images (links to next set of pages) work within the theme thumbnails?

Or do we need to set each group of suppliers up as a portfolio?  If we did that, would the image grids use the theme thumbnails?

The visual composer was recommended to allow us to build on the theme without needing to code, but it simply doesn't work if it's dropping full resolution images to peoples phones.

    Thanks

    Hi,

For this case, the best solution for it is: use images with normal size - the size good for all devices - because for now no any wordpress theme supports the features like you requirements here.
