Why can't I use the Visual Composer in portfolios

Can you help me to work out the best way of using the theme to catagorise pages built using the visual composer please?

I'm building a directory site with various categories of suppliers, and each supplier will have their own dedicated page.

I'll need to have a top level page that outlines the different categories of supplier, and then a second level that lists each supplier in a particular category.

    So for example;

    1. suppliers/ - this page will display supplier categories

    2. suppliers/photographers/ - this page will display the photographers

    3. suppliers/photographers/123photography - this is the page for 123Photograher

I'm familiar with using parent pages, and I have the structure worked out, but I can't seem to figure out how to display the contents on of a category on pages 1 and 2.  Is it possible to catagorise pages?

I want to use the functionality of a portfolio, but the portfolio won't let me use visual composer.

    Thanks,

To update, I see that I can use a post grid on a page, and tell the post grid to use 'Page' as it's data source.  So this might let me do what I need.

However, I don't know how to categorise or label pages so that the post grid displays the correct list of pages.

Where it says "Narrow data source" and Enter categories, tags or custom taxonomies-

How do I label a page so as to be able to narrow the date source

    Hope that's clear

    thanks

    Hi,

You can enable Visual Composer for custom post type by do following this guide

I see that with your requirements, you need a lot of custom work outside the support requirements. And the support doesn't include it. You can check support policy for all items on themeforest here. I think you should hire a web developer to develop all features like you want. We did help you with a lot of custom work outside the support policy, but we can't do that more because it's too much and we can't provide that for all 12k+ customers using this theme.

    Hope you can understand it.

    Best Regards,
