I might show off myself as a total noob, but I'm currently building my new blog using Soledad theme. I was wondering if there is any way to put a static picture (maybe with text) to say welcome to my readers before the actual categories show up? See attached screenshot.
Yeah, you can do that by use Penci Slider. Please do following steps:
1/ Make sure you installed plugin Penci Slider, if not, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and install this plugin.
2/ Go to Dashboard > Penci Slider > Add New > and add your static image here
3/ Go to Customize > Featured Slider Options > check to "Enable Featured Slider" and on "Featured Slider Style" > select "Penci Slider Style 1" or "Penci Slider Style 2"
