First off...love the theme! So flexible. And love how clean it looks. Thanks!
I have everything designed and ready. Only thing I can't get working is the thumbnails in the Recent Posts Widget. I'm using the .Soledad Recent Posts widget. All settings are default. I also have a featured image for each post and there is a gallery image for each post.
Can you point me in the right direction on what I need to change to get the thumbnails to show in this widget?

This issue caused by you did enable lazyload images from Jetpack plugin - Let's disable it. This theme has this feature from itself, so you don't need to use this feature.
Also, I think you should make your first posts shorter by go to Customize > Standard & Classic Layout Options > and check to "Auto Render Excerpt" or add more "Continue Reading" button by do following this image.
