You need to pick images to your gallery posts and on that space - it will display a slider.
Make sure you installed plugin Vafpress Post Formats UI - If not, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and install & active it. After that, go to edit that posts, you can see options above the posts title to pick images for your gallery posts.
Hi, I have Vafpress installed, and I understand that it makes a gallery... but...
When you use 'Standard' in Vafpress, you automatically have the featured image shown on top on your post. I use that featured image as a featured image for the frontpage, not to show it again on top of the page.
When you click on Video or Gallery in Vafpress, you don't have that. But when I want to post a series of pictures, I don't want that featured image, because it's already unedited in the photocollection.
And when you select Gallery, you get that cool 'it's a gallery post-icon on your featured image on the frontpage', but I want to link TO the article and then let them watch the pictures scrolling downward.
Is it clear what I mean? It's kinda hard explaining these silly quesitons :) Thanks for helping
Yeah, currently, if you use gallery posts format. It will auto appears like a slider on the layout and inside single posts page - there is no option to make it has icon gallery like you want on gallery posts format. We will consider to add more this feature in the future updates.

When I select video, the featured image is shown on the site, but with gallery, it's a white space. But, the picture does show in the slider up top!
