Hi, I worn you that my website is about accidents so if not necessary... I don't want to ruin your mood, so don't visit it, cause it has crashed car photos on it.

My question. I have set up my website quite quickly and integrated google analytics but... On one particular article I got a lot of views it was 4000 (post count view) when I got excited, and another article had 6000 then, today there are 51045 on the one with the 6000 views(posted 2 days ago). Meanwhile on google analytics I have only 2,384 pageviews (2,229 unique pageviews) on that particular article ( I have to mention that I integrated the analytics code on every page and double checked).

Is there any statistics for the page count view thing in the admin panel or anything like that? or how does it work? what is it measuring? why is that big difference between the two numbers?

I have to mention that I trust the 50000+ pageviews because I  have shared the article on social media groups with more than 150.000users so the numbers are credible.

Thank you and sorry for the long letter but I need some clarification :D Have a great day!

    Hi,

Thank you for purchased PenNews and get back here with us.
Yeah, You can see your posts viewed via edit posts screen - on the left side below.
About your question, yeah I'm sure this count view will differents with your google analytics. With all wordpress theme, we just can count the posts view when readers go to single post pages - while google analytics exclude a lot of posts viewed with short time. That's why you see it different

    A tip for you:

You should go to Appearance > Menus > edit menu item "Accidente" > and select Category Mega menu container for this menu is "1400px" - It will display better with currently. And do the similar with all other category mega menu items.

    Hi,

Thanks for the tip, I have tried out the container width options before . But you are right! I will stick to the 1400 cause it will show 6 thumbnails in the dropdown menu instead the 5 that I have now.

    One other question...

I would like to have a big search bar on the homepage, somewhere maybe under the menu, or on top of a slider(not the one with the 7 articles that I have featured now cause it will be confusing). can you provide me a html code that I can later insert in a text box or custom html? If yes, please tell me the class for the css customisation and I can manage from there. Thanks a lot for the great support!

    Hi,

Thank you for your great words.

About big search bar, currently this theme doesn't support this feature. We will consider to add more this feature in the future updates. Currently, I think you can highlight your search bar on the menu by enable padding for it via Customize > Logo and Header Options > Disable Header Search Icon Background

And you can change background for this header search icon via Customize > Colors for Header > Header Search Icon Background Color
