On my website, the dropdown menu is displaying a second copy of the categories underneath the thumbnail images. I cannot figure out how to remove them and have the sub-categories only show up on the left side of the menu.
Thank you. I removed the child menu from all listings, which loses all the images associated. We have a long navigation menu for one of the sections. Is there a way to modify this so that you don't have to scroll down the screen to see all the options? For example, can the sub-categories form columns going left to right?
I've included an attachment for reference to what it is doing now.
1/ No - you don't lose all the images on your category mega menu when you do that. All child categories appears on the left side of category mega menu auto get all child categories of menu item you selected.
2/ You can check this guide here to know how to config a category mega menu columns.
If you can't do that, let's send me your admin url and admin account ( username and password ) - in a private reply. I will make an example for you.
Can you please review the attachment I sent on my last message? It shows that the images are gone and the submenu is too long. The tutorial does not address making columns out of the subcategories. It only shows making rows for the images which does not solve the problem I am having.
If you need my login credentials to create the scenario that I am looking for, I will provide it in the private message.
For example: On category mega menu "Living" > you don't see "Entertaining" & "Garden" appears because that 2 categories doesn't exists any posts - check this image
Also one more issue quite important: You didn't Regenerate Thumbnails for this theme.
After installed the plugin Regenerate Thumbnails, go to admin > Tools > Regen. Thumbnails > Click button "Regenerate All Thumbnails" and wait for it until it's done 100%
We've said all in the documentation for Soledad theme here
I never said I had an issue with items missing. I realize why they are not showing up.
As for the columns on the 'recipe' tab, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for doing that. You might want to have your tutorial video actually show an example of those columns rather than just a picture that doesn't show the results. That's where I was lost on all of this.
I'm currently having the same error. I've tried following your listed steps to resolve but am unable to figure it out. Can you provide me with additional assistance? Thank you, kindly.
