    Hi,

    I was wondering if I could get some assistance with regards to the side bar and footer categories. I have used both Pen News Popular Categories and Widget Categories Function with no avail. 

    Pen News Popular and Widget both showed only popular categories AND subcategories instead of only main categories. (see attached)


    Did I miss something while setting this up?

    Hi,

    You can try choose categories type is "Popular categories sort by name A->Z"  and choose  amount of categories you want . Default is 6.

    Did that, but the problem is, it is also picking up my subcategories - how do I avoid that ?

    Show hierarchy is unchecked for both all along as per the screen shot...
