Great job on your PenNews theme. Have bought plenty of themes over the years and I am happy with it so far.
Penci Block 12 looks different when my homepage is from a static page than site’s recent posts. When I turn the static page option off the block resembles your demos. The problem is the spacing between each post and how the post meta aligns with the featured image. Other blocks also seem to have spacing issues between the posts when I edit my homepage in Visual Composer.
Here are some other concerns and feature requests.
1. The controls for the YouTube player only appear when I use certain post templates.. 2. Could you add a “source link” field in the editor, so they don’t appear in the excerpt? 3. The ability to add your own excerpt would be greatly appreciated. 4. The theme doesn’t use the post template I select when I edit a post, it just uses the template selected in customizer.

2/ I'm not clearly about this. Can you tell me more about this? Because I don't see any youtube video on your homepage - the videos & the posts format video is different - it's not the same
3/ I'm not clearly about this also, what do you mean about “source link” field appears in the excerpt?
4/ You can check this guide to know how to add custom excerpt for your posts:
1/ Because your config is wrong - You need to use Template for this page is "Full Width" - check this image
And you can select layout for each container element - check this image
2/ Yeah sure - That's a parallax video as we show on our demo here
Of course this parallax video can't supports for display controls. If you want to use video Controls - please change it to other styles doesn't supports for parallax videos.
3/ I'm still not clearly about this. Can you show me some screenshots about this to make me can clearly about that issues?
