    Hello!

I purchased the soledad them a couple days ago but I cannot figure out how to get my site to look like the demo http://websites.envatousercontent.com/design/soledad-food-blog/q0exq0/preview??layout=desktop Do I need to make this theme active in order to download the plugins or can I customize it to match the demo with the plugins then activate it? I don't want to have to go into maintenance mode if possible.

    Thank you

    April

    Hi,

I was able to create the recipe index but then then I noticed grey boxes where the pics should be. I went through the forum to see if anyone else had the same issue and I see that someone did. I ended up deactivating my plugins except for penci ones then I tried to see if the pics would show up and they did. When I reactivated the plugins the pics disappeared. I realized it's actually one of my paid premium social sharing plugins. Is there anyway around this issue? I

    Thank you!

    Hi,

If so seem your premium plugin caused the confict with lazyload javascript from us.

If you don't want to deactivate that plugin, let's disable lazyload images from this theme to make it work.

To disable lazyload from the theme, please check options for it via:

Disable lazyload images on category mega menu on Customize > Logo and Header Options

Disable lazyload images on all layouts, widgets on Customize > General Options

Disable lazyload images on featured slider on Customize > Featured Slider Options

Disable lazyload images on single posts page on Customize > Single Post Options

But, I recommend you contact with author of that plugin and ask them for fixed this. Because lazyload images make your site faster for load

    Hi,

I am using another plugin for now because yeah I don't want to remove lazyload. I'll contact the author. Is there a way to choose which posts to showcase on my homepage? Also is there a way to just show like 3 featured pics/posts instead of the slider I have up on my homepage now?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

1/ You can exclude all categories you don't want to appears on the homepage via Customize > Homepage Options > Exclude specific categories from latest posts on Homepage

2/ You can go to Customize > Featured Slider Options > change number posts for display on the slider here.

    Hi there!

Thanks for your help. One of my plugins actually has a lazy load option so I disabled lazy load in this theme. On another note, when I access my site on my phone or table the home page isn't showing any photos. Do you know what the issue could be?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I still see you have a lazyload plugin enabled - that caused the issue. Please make sure you disable lazyload and clearly all the cache and check it again.

Okay it's definitely disabled now and I cleared my cache but my photos still are not appearing on my home page? Please advise.

I just disabled the lazy load in my WP Rocket settings and now my photos are back on the homepage. I never had this issue with my old themes. I really don't want to disable lazy load. I think I will need to go back to my old theme because this theme is causing too many compatibility issues.  Is there a way to get a refund???

    Hi,

This theme already supports for lazyload images feature - that's why you don't need use any lazyload feature more. If you want to use lazyload images from WP Rocket, let's disable lazyload images from the theme via:

Disable lazyload images on category mega menu on Customize > Logo and Header Options

Disable lazyload images on all layouts, widgets on Customize > General Options

Disable lazyload images on featured slider on Customize > Featured Slider Options

Disable lazyload images on single posts page on Customize > Single Post Options

Also, Envato will doesn't provide refund for this case - you can check Envato refund policy here

Yes I know that already but If I enable the lazy load setting in the soledad theme, my recipe index won't display the photos (I mentioned this the other day see below). If I disable the lazyload in soledad and keep lazy load enabled in my WP Rocket settings my homepage pics will not appear. I mentioned this before in my previous messages. How can I get this theme to work without all these issues?

Did you read the message history?  Seems like I’m going in circles with support. Everything is working fine because unfortunately I had to disable lazy load in my Wp rocket premium plugin. Also lazy load option in Soledad is not compatible with my premui plugins. I need to be able to use this theme without having compatibility issues.

  • April replied

I just checked my site from my phone. Now my photos in my recipe index are not appearing once again. If you changed lazy load setting that’s probably the reason why they’re not showing up. If there’s no way to use lazy load either in the theme or in my wp rocket settings then I’ll have to go back to my old theme until I can find a theme that is compatible with my premium plugins.

Seem that plugin has a new version but I can't update it.

You should contact with plugin author about this.

Great thank you!  I will check with plugin author because I think both of the two social warefare plugins are supposed to be activated. I only see that one is activated.

Just checked the site from my phone and the recipe index is still missing the photos. Is the screen shot below from a mobile device? The site works fine on the desktop but the issue is on the mobile devices.

Yeah, the screenshot I sent you from mobile.

Okay yes, I tried the incognito browser it worked.  Then I downloaded google chrome and it showed up there. I was initially using safari web browser on my mobile device and the photos were not appearing but now they are showing on safari browser. Very strange. Thank you!

Hello, Is there a way to remove the boxes from the photos on the home page. For example, the first pic shows french toast but there is a grey box around the picture. Is there anyway to remove it? Also is there a way to make the title on the top instead of the bottom?

    Thank you

    Hi,

1/ You can add more this code to Customize > Custom CSS to do that:

    .penci-image-holder:not([style*='background-image']), .penci-lazy[src*="penci-holder"], .penci-holder-load:not([style*='background-image']){ background: none; }

2/ Unfortunately, currently this theme doesn't support this feature.
