Importing demo data totally messed up the site

    Hi,

I bought the Soledad 5 theme with lot of expectations. But within an hour of getting hands on with the theme, it's beginning to annoy me. I'm hoping to get it smoother with your support.

Problem 1: While exacting your whole package, it was disappointing to see this error (Attached Screenshot - Unpack error). This does not make a good impression about a premium theme. It gave me an impression of grey market purchase.

Problem 2: After activation of the theme, I imported my first demo. It made the site much slower and header/menu style was not properly laying out. Then I looked for an option to uninstall the current demo, but no options. I though downloading a second demo would automatically take care of cleaning up the previous one and clean install a fresh one. But it messed up the whole style, and kind of mixed up with the previous demo. I see the header menus and footers are doubled up. Categories and images are bloated up.

Looked for an existing discussion on this issue. Tried installing customize reset plugin. It did not help cleaning it either. Now I'm stuck with this mess, don't know what to do. Could you advise the possible solution?

    Hi,

1/ That's license txt files - that files need to be include to download package and Envato requirements us include it to the package. You can remove that files if you want. We have more than 15k+ customers use this theme - so of course it's not scam like you think

2/ About your issues, seem you didn't check documentation for this theme before you do import demo here on this image - while didn't check the documentation for the theme - and you do that wrong - you said like everything from the theme is scam for you. Do you use anything without read "how to use?" - That's a bit uncomfortable from me when I hear everything you said.

With your issues now, please send me:

    - Your admin url

    - Your admin account ( username and password  )

    - What's demo style you want to use for your site?

And I will take it a look on this.

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

On #1: I think you know what I'm bringing up here. It's about the errors while unpacking, not about the license file. This is not the first theme I'm buying from Envato, and I know that they are license files. It's FYI, and up to you to get it corrected.

On #2: Thanks for the support. You will be able to fix the site one time according to the chosen demo, but what if I want to change to one of your other style/demos again? Fearing the chance of getting broken again, practically its not possible call your support for every issues arising during initial customization. So, I have decided to clean start the site again (Luckily not a lot I risk doing so at this stage) and try the best to figure out on my own during this weekend. Will contact if I face the issue again and unable to fix. Cheers.

PS: This theme has been one of my favorite them for a long time :-)

    Hi,

Thank you for loving our theme.

If you want to switch to another demo style, please do following steps:

    1) Install & active plugin Customizer Reset & plugin Customizer Export/Import

    2) Go to Appearance > Customize > click to button "Reset" at the top to reset all your customizer data to default.

    3) Import demo style ( .dat file ) you want to import to your site - by do following ONLY Way: 2 in this guide - Way 2: Import Only customizer data

    Note:

    - If you want to switch to another demo style, you just need to do again step 2) and 3)

    - After switch to another demo, if you have the issues about menu items appears over screen - you need to go to Appearance > Menus > create/select a menu > scroll down to bottom > and check to "Primary Menu"

    Hi,

Thanks for the guide. Followed your guided steps after resetting my website. With all necessary installation of plugins (Customizer reset/import/export), I tried "travel.dat" (Way-2), and the footer section after blog roles at the bottom, was different than actually installing a full demo (Way-1). Please refer the attached screenshots. But this is ok I can still get around.

I have tried adding a new home page and customizing it further using WPBakery plugin (which I find it complicated for me). Also, at this time i'm still trying to get familiar with the huge number of customizer options available with the theme. I find it too cluttered, but this is just me trying to get used to the theme. May be it's because of my previous experience with other themes and page builders that I got used to, i'm finding it difficult here. Or may be it's too much of options spread around so many places, involving many additional plugins, making it difficult for me to reach out to the controls that I want to customize. I'll play around it for more time and I hope I can get the good grip of it. Thanks.
