I would like to know what should I do if I want all of my pictures to be square?

should I simply add only square pics of 1170x1170px and the template will adapt or should I code somewhere that the format of every pictures will be square?

In case I have to code it, can you tell me how and where?

Last question, my apologies,

can I have 2 different formats for the pictures?

For example choose all the pictures to be vertical, except for one of the categories to be square and appear square in the featured images?

For example, I would like all my pictures to look vertical,

except for one category called "people to follow" to be only square pictures.

Hello everybody.

so I have used 'Landscape' - so far so good.

Since the theme obviously auto-crops the photos in the Category-view, it "removes" some important parts of the photo. Especially when I then view the page on desktops with multiple sizes, mobile, ... this is kind of "ugly".

So is there a special file size (meaning e.g. 1000*800) for featured images you can recommend?
