If you want to do that - you can do that by create a new page > select Template for this page is "Fullwidth"
After that, add element "Featured Slider" to that page + "Penci Container" element to that page + a block for show your posts inside "Penci Container" element and config it like the way you want.
Don't use "Blog" as a blog page via Dashboard > Settings > Reading - Let's create a blog page by use WPBakery Page Builder

My homepage is a landing page for my app. And in the blog (mysite.com/blog/) I display all recent posts.
Is it possible to have the Featured Posts in the /blog/ section?
