    It looks like I have 23 Widget areas. 

    Do you have a map or description of where each of these goes?

    Hi,

    This theme has 6 main positions for widgets area.

    1/ Main sidebar - near the main content.

    2/ Sidebar on the footer widgets area: Footer Column #1, Footer Column #2, Footer Column #3, Footer Column #4 ( based the settings via Customize > Footer Options )

    3/ Sidebar for header sign-up form below the main navigation

    4/ Sidebar for Footer Signup Form - below the footer widget area

    5/ Sidebar for Top Instagram - Display instagram at the top

    6/ Sidebar for Footer Instagram - Display instagram at the bottom.

    All other sidebar can be custom sidebar for Main Sidebar.

    I think you can give it a try for each sidebar to know where it displayed
