I recently purchase the Soledad (Craft & DIY Blog2 Version) and was supposed to be getting help to set up the website. unfortunately they did not come through. I have worked wordpress themes in the past but this does not have a "home" page in the admin list of pages. I would very much like to have all the elements as shown in the demo, on the page so I can better configure. Can you tell me how to do this? I've never seen a wordpress theme without a Home page listed before. Brenda Ellison Re-Scape.com (coming soon) not currently open
Yeah, this theme can build everything like we show on the demo via Appearance > Customizer - Don't need to create a "Home" page.
Please go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading > and make your config look like this image.
We've said about this in the documentation for this theme here - please take it a look for all sections on the documentation to know how to config this theme
This is not the answer I am looking for. I wanted to have a page that is listed in Pages that links to "home" button so that I can go in and easily configure through visual composer. If this is not possible, then I am confused as it says so on your promo page.
I am also trying to build a landing page for an ebook for the website....I am reading forums now but do not understand that either.
I cannot find all these codes separately. I am still trying to find the box that says "subscribe to my newsletter" so that I can change that to Free Membership box. Sorry, again, I am not a web designer but I do have some understanding of how to put together a website with code.I have built two of them.
This is just confusing to me but I love the theme a lot. It is exactly what I was looking for style wise. I just need to now get it up and running! LOL
1/ Of course the theme supports WPBakery Page Builder if you want to use page builder for your site.
You can check guide here to know how to get WPBakery Page Builder and check this video tutorial to know how to setup homepage with WPBakery Page Builder.
2/ You can change it via Dashboard > MailChimp for WP > Form
Evidently I did not have the WP Bakery plugin installed that comes with Soledad. I went to zip got the plugin and installed it and it works fine but now it says I need an update for the plugin and asks for a license, which I am not sure I have. Are they asking for the Soledad license? Is there somewhere to get a license code so I can update the plugin?
