I have just updated my site and now the social media icons from the bottom bar and side bar are just appearing as squares. Could you please advise if there is a fix?
Deactivating the plugin does fix the issue, but this is not ideal at all as the plugin is required to power the websites marketplace/store. Is there another way around the issue please?

Because as you said, you mean that - if you need any plugin - the theme need to supports for all that plugins? No - that's impossible for any theme - Wordpress has millions plugins and we can't check & compatible for all plugins.
If you can't deactivate that plugin - let's ask author of this plugin and ask them how to disable FontAwesome version 5 load from the plugin.

I see this issue caused by plugin has a name like "yith woocommerce multi vendor premium"...
Let's try deactivate this plugin and the issues will gone.

That plugin has a conflict with the FontAwesome from the theme to make it doesn't appears.
So, the only solution here is deactivate that plugin like I said.
It's just come from a plugin - let's check it.
Wordpress has millions plugins and of course no any theme can check & compatible with all that plugins...
