I have purchased the premium PenciNews theme a few months ago, and have gotten notifications that there have been upgrades. As per instructions for upgrade (link included above) the updates should be showing up as notices on my wordpress install. However, no such notices appear.
Do updates automatically install on the these? How do I properly install the theme update?

My question was whether the updates are automatic ? There is no option to ‘update’ when I log into Webpress and follow the instructions. I know that there have, in fact, been updates, but i cannot tell if they were automatically installed.
PenNews theme and plugin come from theme not update automatically.
If we release new updates, There will be a notification on your site as screenshot http://prntscr.com/mh6ikg and you must click "Update now" link to update.
Then after update theme , if you see "The following plugin needs to be updated to its latest version to ensure maximum compatibility with this theme" notification ( http://prntscr.com/mh6jx4 ), please click "Begin updating plugins" link then update all plugin come from theme.
