Every time i publish a blog post it goes straight to the Featured slider. How can i stop this from happening. How can i select posts that will be stick on the Featured slider.
You can change order posts on featured slider via Customize > Featured Slider Options > Order By on Featured Slider - I think you can use Modified date to change the order on featured slider.

You can do that by use filter Featured Slider by Tags. Please do following steps:
1/ Create a new tag ( example: featured ) via Posts > Tags > Add New
2/ Add this tag for all posts you want to display on the slider.
3/ Go to Customize > Featured Slider Options > on "Filter Featured Slider By" select "Tags" and fill tag slug of this tag to the box below it.
