Hi All, i want to know how i get Instagram as a share icon and function for .penci-post-box-meta.penci-post-box-grid .penci-post-share-box

Alternatively is there a hook that allows a similar look that i have customised but replaces above with the Soledad Social Media "Keep in Touch" widget?

    Hi,

1/ That's impossible because Instagram doesn't support platform for sharing at this time.

2/ I don't understand that question, can you tell me more about this?

    Thanks

I found some plugins that do what is needed but obviously they are more along the lines of reposting from the site back-end and unreliable .

What i did notice though was it would we an awesome inclusion for the Soledad theme -> one plugin basically authenticated with insta account, allowed you to define a picture from your media library (max 1080p to confirm to Insta rules) then checkbox to select the Post or Page or Product Title and then it allowed text box entry as header and footer parts (could insert web addresses etc) and then at the end of the insta post it allowed you to define up to 30 hashtags that it would publish. All of this then pushed 1 insta post to instagram on your linked account.  ONLY down for this plugin was it wanted *.jpg image file where our site uses PNG and despite debug mode it didn't quarantine post after checking it just just dumped exception to screen and pushed to insta.

I was asking if there is a way to write custom css or add shortcode to a post or page that resulted in replacing the current POST share icons and functionality (div.penci-post-box-meta.penci-post-box-grid) with the theme widget  .... on testing however i see that widget only redirects to the social page defined and doesn't share as that is not a feature.

    Hi,

That's no sharing for instagram - that's posted to Instagram. With this requirement, I think you should find a plugin to help you do that. Because it related with too much things and most of customers doesn't need that feature. We don't want to include a heavy feature like that to the themesmile.png
