I use the Soledad / SimpleBlog / Child theme. My home page layout is List Posts. I have only the Main Sidebar.
I use the Smush Image Compression and Optimization plugin. I keep getting messages that my images are not the right size, but I cannot figure out why. The penci image sizes are confusing to me.
Please tell me:
For a centered photo to fill the width of the Text Box, what pixel size should I use?
For a smaller size picture to the left or right of the text inside the text box, what pixel size / or ratio should I use?
For a picture in the sidebar what pixel size should I use?
1/ For featured images - the theme will auto crop/resize to display it for multiple places on your site. So, you don't need to care about the images sizes for featured images.
For featured images, you can use images with at least 1170 width to get best results.
2/ For sidebar, you can use images with the width 400px.

1/ For featured images - the theme will auto crop/resize to display it for multiple places on your site. So, you don't need to care about the images sizes for featured images.
For featured images, you can use images with at least 1170 width to get best results.
