    Hi,

There’s another theme update.  I would like to just confirm the steps before I proceed:

Step 1: Deactivate Child theme. (How do i deactivate?) [The documentation says " After updated parent theme, please remember activate again the child theme.]

Step 2: Go to Appearance > Themes > click on "Update Now" button on Parent theme and wait until it is done.

Step 3:  Appearance > Install Plugins > and all plugins that come with the theme will be updated.

Step 4: Reactivate Child theme, and it will automatically have the new updates of the parent theme.

What I really want to know is deactivating the child theme before installing the update important or is it automatically deactivated when I click on "Update Now" on parent theme? "

    Regards

Should I just go ahead and click on the "Update Now" button without worrying about deactivating the child theme first?

Or should I activate a default theme (Twenty Sixteen) first? And after the update I reactivate the child theme?

The documentation does not show the "Update Now" button. Instead it says delete the Soledad theme after activating another theme. Then "Add New" to upload latest version.

    Hi,

Yeah, you just need click to "Update Now" button to update the theme.

Don't need to deactivate the child theme.

I don't have to activate a default theme (Twenty Sixteen) first like the documentation says either?

Okay. I'm going ahead and just clicking the Update Now button without activating the default theme. Just the step a.

    Thanks
