I would like to be able to add some text before the featured image. Is that possible somehow?
And like another ticket I saw, I would also like to be able to have both "created date" and "last updated" to show at the same time. I know you can't do it now, but would be a nice feature to have in the future.

But PenNews theme does't support subtitle. We will consider to add more this feature in the next update version of PenNews. I'm not sure it will be added but i'm sure we will consider about this.

Yes, would be nice if you could consider it. Especially for food blogs it makes a lot of sense.
