We are using Penci Most Popular widget in our pages. We are specifying manual and I added in posts. I have changed the query count to 5 but it still shows 7. It does not show the titles of the posts we specified in the editor so I cannot edit - I can only type them all in again and hope it works. Why is this happening?
The widget is in the sidebar. Attached is the query setting showing 5 posts to display but it's displaying 7. Also doesn't show the posts we manually selected so is hard to edit going forward without retyping them all over again.
Ahh, I understand now. Because you said with me you fill the posts per pages is 5 and it displayed 7 - so I said with you if do the manual section - it will ignore the posts per page value.
For "manual selection" - you just need to put your posts name to the box and add it. Are you unable to do that? If you can't see the posts after put the posts name to the box, let's try deactivate all plugins ( except plugins come from the theme ) and try it again. Because I just checked the theme from my-end and I see everything still working fine - I still can do the manual selection normal without any issue.
As you will see in the screenshots of the backend, the query list shows ALL and not the 5 we selected. The frontend does show the 5 but if we want to change anything, we have to type the list all over again.
Also, you will see in the screenshot of the backend that it displays 10 even though the editor says 5. The frontend does show 5.
Lastly, this is also one of the widgets that loses its formatting in the backend even though the front end is fine. We have selected title style 6 it shows title style 1. We have also selected no date and it shows a date.
Yes and it still happens. This is with all plugins except Elementor are deactivated. I believe it is related to our ticket 'Backend editor not displaying correctly.'
We really need your help but my client only uses two-factor authentication. That means you either need to provide me an email or cell phone in order to get the authentication working for you. Can you please do that?
Actually - we provided a login for one of our other tickets. The email address used for you is: [email protected]. Please see the email to that address that our system sent for you as a user.
Please total all your issues in this ticket. No need to answer on other tickets from you if you don't have new issues.
First, I see your site has been load fine with Elementor in editor mode.
For second issue, about manually selection can't be keep the posts after refresh the page. I want to check it but this account doesn't allow me to see all the plugins installed inside your site.
I can't see query monitor installed anywhere, I can't see list plugins you're using on 'mu-plugins' ( must use plugins ), and I can't see what you did modified in side child theme.
So, please send me more your FTP account ( FTP host, FTP username, FTP password ) to help I can access to the files on your hosting to I can check it.
Unfortunately, with this client, they won't allow ftp access. Attached is a list of plugins that are running. We are current with Wordpress but did have to roll back your latest theme update as it caused the widget area backend to just spin. We are using Soledad 7.1.2.
No - It's not all plugins you're using. You're using more plugins inside wp-content/plugins/mu-plugins.
Also, I don't know what's the codes you've modified via child theme.
So, I recommend you tried a fresh install WordPress with latest version of this theme and check if this issues is appears or not ( of course please check on different hosting or different domain ).
If this issue doesn't appears, that mean you've did something wrong on the child theme to caused this issue or you're using a plugin caused it doesn't work.
We can't check it helps you because we can't access to the files on your hosting..

Hi,
The popular posts will auto display posts has popular viewed.
And if do the manual section - it will ignore the posts per page value.
So, please try change the source to "Posts"

I don't understand why I should do that. We WANT to show a manual selection of posts. Isn't that what 'manual selection' is for?
We also only want to show 5 manually selected posts. Is there not a way to do this??

I did turn off all plugins (except Elementor because half of our site is using that plugin and your theme is supposed to be compatible).
Still the list in the editor just says All. See attached image.
Hi,
You need to type some character to find your posts name you want to select manually
Best Regards,
PenciDesign
I've done that but when I go back in to the editor - they're gone - even though they're showing on the front end.
Hi,
Have you manually selected it before? Can you show me some screenshot for this issue?

Hi,
Strange, I just checked our theme and I didn't see this issue.
Have you tried deactivate all plugins ( except plugins come from the theme & Elementor ) and check it again?
If it works, you can enable each plugin to check what's plugin caused this issue.

Hi,
Please set for my account is administrator account.
I can't do anything with a register account
Best Regards,

You are set up as administrator but you need to register for two-factor authentication. This is what I got from the client:
VIP will send a verification code via email so ask them to provide a company issued personal email address.
Or they can use their support email if they can access the support email inbox.
