We're using auto-update flatform from WP-Updates: http://wp-updates.com/ and it seems the updates flatform from them has issues, I just contact them and they said will fix it as soon as possible. Currently, please manually to update this theme - by do following this guide:
I made something similar myself before reading this ticket.
I didn't remove the old version first, so at the end I had both versions installed and when I switched to 7.3.0 I hat to completely re-customize the theme.
So I gave up and removed the version 7.3.0 again.
Therefore my question is: If I now follow the steps in the guide will all current customization and settings be hold?
If it is handled like a brand theme there's the need to customize everything from scratch again.
As I said before, we're using auto-update flatform from WP-Updates: http://wp-updates.com/ and currently wp-updates has issues with their flatform. We can't know how long does it take because it depends on wp-updates...
But, we will find another solution to help you can update the theme safe and easily more. Let's check the guide I sent in a next few days. We will update solution on this article
No news ? I'm still waiting for news from you and an easy way to upload the last update - I have no luck with computer and don't feel safe doing it manually ...
We're waiting for some weeks but they didn't fixed the issues, so maybe in the next updates, we will remove this flatform. It seems they didn't care about this flatform anymore.
hello Penci ! I've seen the video and it seems easy, I'm willing to give it a try but my only worry is that : if I upload the latest version and get the following message "The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini."
what happens? it will stop the update ? my main concern is : it won't delete the previous update ? Because the former/previous update is no longer available on your website and I haven't kept it. Do you know what I mean ? I have the 7.2.3 installed now - is there a risk I might lose it if the update to 7.3.1 is not possible because of the maximal size ???
Is the March 10th post the correct instructions to follow? I'm getting the same error and nervous following a different protocol other than "update" under Appearance...please advise what the newest instructions are. Thanks! Also, does this fix any issues with the featured image appearing? I've been having problems with it loading for some time. Thx!
2/ No - It doesn't related. If your featured images doesn't appears, please make sure you don't enable lazyload images feature from a plugin like Jetpack or WP Rocket or another plugin. Because the theme already supports for this feature.
My theme updates have always been without problem. With the update that I was alerted to today, I'm having a problem. I get the following error.
Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Advice?
Thanks,
Steve
I'm getting this too.
Soledad team, please help!!!

Hi @grandegae,
No - Of course it doesn't affect anything to your settings
But, if you've changed the theme name folder from soledad to another - after updated the theme, you need to change it back

Hi,
No worries - when you get this error - you still keep on old version and your site doesn't affect anything.
With the new guide, you don't need to delete the old version anymore, do you attention it?

Update worked like a charm. Thank you!
