    Hi there,

    How do i link my 8 grids with the posts that are tagged/categorised to those names? See attached.

    Other questions:

    1) How do I create the recipe card where people can print out? is it an extra plugin?
    2) is there a recipe rating feature?
    3) is there a community feature?
    4) How do i set up the shop for products i love? I'm guessing it's woocommerce but when i installed the demo layout it didn't appear.
    5) How does your affiliate program work?

    Thanks

    Michelle

    Hi,

    You can links it by copy the URL you want to link for from the browser and paste it to Customize > Homepage Options > "Homepage Featured Box 1st URL", "Homepage Featured Box 2nd URL", ....

    1/ To do that, please install & activate plugin Penci Recipe via Appearance > Install Plugins.

    After that, check this video tutorial to know how to config/setup recipe cart/recipe index.

    2/ Yes. The plugin has supports for rating already.

    3/ You can use plugin BBPress to create a forum for your site. The theme supports for this plugin.

    4/ You can install Woocommerce plugin to add shop cart/online store for your site.

    You can check documentation for this theme here to know how to configure the plugin:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/getting-started/

    And check more options from Woocommerce via Customize > Woocommerce.

    5/ You can use the affiliate program from Envato Market here

    Oh thank you for your prompt response. For my first question regarding linking my grid photos with their respsective titles to the recipes tagged under them i can't just put one URL as each post has a separate URL. Is it another function I use?

    To give you an example. I have "Baking" as one of my grids. I have 10-20 recipes to do with that. How do i make them all show up . Must be some sort of index function i guess it would be right? It goes by tagging right?

    Hi,

    You can create a new category with name "Baking" and link your image to that category page.

    Or create a new tag with name "Baking" and link your image to that tag pagesmile.png

    Hi,

    Yeah, I understand it.

    I will explain an example for you.

    On your featured boxes at the homepage, you have a box called:  "Breakfast" - you can link this box to your category "Breakfast": https://www.kitchenmess.com/category/breakfast/

    By go to Customize > Homepage Options > Homepage Featured Box 4th URL > and paste URL of category Breakfast above to this option:

    https://www.kitchenmess.com/category/breakfast/

    Do the same for other boxes.

    Hi There,

    For Quick Meals i want it to refer to the category "30 minute meals" which i used for some posts. However when i type it in as you suggested it doesn't work. Is it cause it is 3 separate words? How should i type it for the URL linking the grid 'Quick Meals"?

    Thanks
    Michelle

    Hi,

    You can go to Posts > Categories > hover on category you want to get URL > click on "View Category" > and you can go to that category > and copy URL from browser.

    Thanks got it.

    Need to see where i can find the jetpack one and remove it but it does have related content (you guys don't right?)

    Also, topic aside...i noticed the current design of my website looks better on desktop than on mobile. What would you suggest for a better mobile layout? do i remove the top 8 grids on my desktop?

    Hi,

    1/ Please check option for it via Dashboard > Jetpack > Settings > Traffic > un-check to show Related Posts.

    And check sharing options via Dashboard > Jetpack > Settings > Sharing.

    2/ That's normal because the desktop has more space than mobile, so of course it can be display in multiple ways. On mobile, the width of screen is too small, so it can't be display better than desktop. You can hide featured boxes on mobile by add more this code to Customize > Custom CSS:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px){
    .container.home-featured-boxes{ display: none; }
    }
