1/ Go to Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks > select "Post Name" and save change it.
2/ If point 1 doesn't work let deactivate all plugins ( except plugins come from the theme ) and try it again. If it works, let's enable each plugin to check what's plugin caused this issue.
OK, now it works. HOWEVER, looks VERY different - different color, fonts\size, etc etc... everything is very different. How can I make sure it INHERITS the style and design to the AMP?
Please see the before (amp was activated) and after (amp was activated) - the AMP destroyed everything.

Because you've checked for load AMP for mobile visisters via Appearance > Customizer AMP ( not Customize ) > Advanced Settings > Show AMP for Mobile Visitors
Note that: AMP is different with mobile interface of your site. If you check on this option, AMP will be replace with your mobile interface.
Here is the way AMP works:
If someone on mobile or tablet search a keywords on google > google return search results and if your site appears on search results and your site support for AMP > it will load AMP version.
It's different with access direct to your site on mobile.
Yes, that's right. That's how AMP look. It can't be follow like mobile interface.
Google AMP developed by google and it has too many hard rules need to follow - that's why you will see all AMP pages is simple. And AMP from the theme just support for display latest posts only.
AMP not working - see screenshoot

"Customizer AMP" is off (See attachment), and the AMP still looks totally different (see attachment).
