On our site, we use the PenNews Weather Widget. It worked without problems with the regquired openweather API in the General Settings. Since yesterday, there is a problem with the widget with following message:
Warning: Illegal string offset 'forecast' in /homepages/4/d17292996/htdocs/cms/rv19/wp-content/plugins/penci-framework/weather/weather.php on line 332. Weather widget You need to fill API key to Customize > General Options > Weather API Key to get this widget work
First, I checked my account at openweather, if my site is over the free API Calls, but there was no evidence. I even opened up a new account with a new API, without success. Also, I tried another city for the weather data and forecast, same error message.
There was only one plugin, which was updated the last day (The Events Calendar, Modern Tribe Inc.) To make sure, this is not the problem, I deactivated the plugin, there was no change too.
Do you have any ideas where to localize the problem and fix this?
