I checked the box "Auto Render Post Excerpt" so that the "continue reading" would show on the posts on my home page. The "continue reading" is there, but now it doesn't show all the text formatting that I have on my post (no spacing between paragraphs, all text is the same size, bolded text shows as regular, etc.) As soon as I uncheck the "auto render post excerpt" box the formatting is fine. This occurs on posts using the Elementor as well as those not using it.
Yeah, that's exactly. Because the_excerpt() function from WordPress will auto remove all HTML ( include paragraphs, bold tag, italic tag... ) so that's normal
If you want to keep that tags, please un-check on "Auto Render Excerpt" and use "More" element from your editor - check this image
