Hi. I have installed the Soledad theme Craft DIY with no problems. However I would like to add an element of design from another theme and I can't work out how to do that - hopefully it is possible.
I would like to add a static banner or a slider set up directly below the header and category bar that is not linked to a blog post like the current set up.
Something like what I see in the Dental Clinic, Icecream, or Health Coach theme Demos.
Then I would have my blog posts start below this banner.
Can you please let me know how I go about adding this in here?
My blog is not live yet as I'm just building it - But it is pretty much still as the Craft DIY setup with my logo and categories changed - so I don't know if you will need my password.

Hi,
If you're using Customize to config the homepage, you can use "Penci Slider" to add custom slider like that.
Please do following steps:
1/ Make sure you've installed & activated plugin "Penci Slider" - if not, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > install & activate plugin "Penci Slider"
2/ Go to Dashboard > Penci Slider > add new > and add your slides there. ( each add new is one slide )
3/ Go to Customize > Featured Slider Options > on "Featured Slider Style" select "Penci Slider Style 1" or "Penci Slider Style 2".
You can check options for "Penci Slider" on Customize > "Featured Slider Options" also
