Creating Posts in Elementor

    I'm working within Elementor to draft a post and have a few questions.

    1) Should I go through the Elementor Global settings and reset all the Colors and Text Font options to Default so that the Soledad theme Appearance options are primary?  I am finding a few elements here and there that are not updated from my old theme to my Soledad options.

    2) Where is the Fancy Headings widget suppose to be used?  Am I wasting time doing this directly in a Post?  Is it intended for Post Summary pages (like Archive or Category), or both?

    Hi,

    1/ Yeah, you can reset it.

    And you can check general colors options for single posts via Customize > Colors for Single

    2/ You can give it a try to see how it works - this element can use to make many heading types - an example like this image: http://prntscr.com/u82kwy

    Thank you for the quick reply.  I know that I can, but should I use these?

    Do I need to go through Elementor Global Settings and reset all of these settings to Default for Soledad to work right across all pages?

    Can I use the Fancy Header to show on the Single Posts page, or that's not where it's intended to be used?

    Hi,

    1/ Yes, you should.

    2/ For single posts page - it's not needed for use Fancy Heading, because you can use the heading from the your editor. But, in some case, maybe you need for use it.

    That's why I said with you give it a try to see how it works - it will help you know when you should use it.

    https://restlessintexas.com/identify-blog-avatar/Thank you again for so much help.

    I have the default fonts all how I want them and tried the Fancy Heading within the single post.  I did end up removing it.

    Now, another question.  I have certain Text Boxes on a Single Post page that I want fonts other than the Default.  In Elementor, they show with the script font I want, but on the published website, everything is the Default font.  How do I override just a box or two?  I want my Disclosure statement to look different than the Post.

    Hi,

    I just checked your site and I found the caching from plugin WP-Optimize caused the issue.

    It has a caching has a live time, when I deactivate that plugin - the changes appears.

    Thank you for finding the issue!!

    Now I see that it's a similar issue with the Portfolio Page.  https://restlessintexas.com/portfolio/

    I made the Penci Portfolio in Elementor to look like this http://soledad.pencidesign.com/soledad-travel-blog3/grid-2-columns/ but when published it's querying the Jetpack Portfolio to look like Posts Archive, even though the preview in Elementor was correct.  Now the Elementor edit or preview will not load.

    Hi,

    Please change the portfolio page slug to another - you can't use  'portfolio' as slug because it will conflict with the portfolio post type name.

    Let's change the slug like: https://restlessintexas.com/my-portfolio/  or https://restlessintexas.com/our-portfolio/ and check it again.

    Penci is the best support!  My Gallery is 99% there.  It all looks and sorts correct, but when you click a picture it opens a 404 not found page.  How do I get them to just open a Lightbox?

    Hi,

    I see you can do that for yourself now on Gallery pages by "Enable Click on Thumbnails to Open Lightbox?" on portfoliosmile.png

    Can you please log back in to my site?  I don't understand why some images in the Penci Portfolio open in Lightbox and others go to a 404 Not Found page.  What settings am I missing?  Do I need to do something on each Penci Portfolio entry?  The Page is named now Gallery to eliminate the conflicts with JetPack Portfolio.

    Hi,

    Yeah, by default the lightbox just open when you click on the image - not on the portfolio title.

    I've disabled the click on your portfolio title by add more this code to Customize > Custom CSS:

    .inner-item-portfolio .portfolio-desc:before {
        content: '';
        position: absolute;
        z-index: 20;
        top: 0;
        left: 0;
        right: 0;
        bottom: 0;
        display: block;
    }
