I noticed my featured photo from the blogposts are not in good quality.

I do use a picture quality minifier but still the quality is much lower than it should be. 

Any idea why the picture quality is so bad? Is it because the resolution of my photo is under the one recommended for featured photo? 

Also, can I change the featured photo size from the settings? Thanks
