I set up the featured image and it show a grey box, only when I click on the grey box it show the image in a popup. This means that the image is there but it does not show. And again it does not show the featured image in the home page
It seems you've enabled lazyload images from a plugin ( like Jetpack or SG Optimize or a lazyload images plugin ) - let's check and disable itBecause the theme already supports lazyload images from itself.
