From the theme, we have some options to minify the CSS, JS and HTML via Customize > Speed Optimization. You can check here and un-minify it if you want.
After un-check it, if you see the files still minify, you need to check with the caching plugin you're using.. It seems you've minified it there.
Thanks for this, I had forgotten to re-activate the plugins as been having a problem getting a gallery plugin to work with this theme.
I have updated and re-activated all plugins and now have the Speed Optimization options under customize theme.
BUT!
I now cannot edit any pages with Elementor.
If I turn off all all third party Elementor plugins then I can enable your pencil plugins and edit in Elementor, but if I turn on the elementor Plugin that I need I cannot get the elementor panel to load - unless I turn off all the pencil plugins, then the elementor panel allows me to select it.
Anyway for the minute i have turned off the elementor plugins and re-activated the pencil plugs.
BUT!
On disabling all Minify option that I have found and still cannot get any gallery plugins to work, the developer of the one that I would like to get running still states that there is minify enabled even though I have turned off everything related to minify in the speed optimization settings, is there anything else that I can try.
We've said about this in the documentation for Soledad theme here
Note: If you want to use gallery feature from Jetpack or anything else - you need to disable gallery feature from this theme via Customize > Single Posts > General > Disable Gallery Feature from This Theme
I have just had this message from a plugin developer:
"Checking the page source I see you are minifying it.
Maybe there's a cache to flush?"
Does this make any sense to you,? is there a cache that I need to clean out? and if so where?
James

I do not have an option for 'Speed Optimization' under the Customize list, and also we do not use any caching plugins at all.
Where do I find 'Speed Optimization' so that I can turn them all off?
James
Here is a screen capture of what i see under customize.
Hi,
Please make sure you're using the latest version of Soledad - version 7.8.0
If not, let update it to the latest version by doing follow this guide - remember to do all 4 steps there, don't forget to do step 4.
After updating everything, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > and make sure you've installed & activated plugin "Penci Shortcodes & Performance"
And check it again.
Best Regards,
