I have installed the theme with demo data and building my content. I have resized and cropped my "Featured Images" in my test post to 1170 x 780.
From example one attached you can see on the slider it is cropping the top and bottom, but in example two you can see it is showing as intended and not cropped.
If you're using Elementor to setup your page - you can edit your page by use Elementor > right click on the slider and select to edit it > and you can change the image size & image ratio as the way you want - check this image: http://prntscr.com/10fcpd4
I am using Slider Style 2 and per the setup you have shown below via Elementor my image size and ratio settings are per the default that you have shown in the attached picture.
In Example 3 You can see I have Set it "Full" on the LHS - no change - image cropped
In Example 4 you can see the previous defualt setting - no change - image cropped
In Example 5 you can see I have adjusted the Ratio / Height on the LHS - no change - image cropped
Please save and check it again without Elementor edit.
If it still doesn't work, please send me your WordPress site admin URL and admin account ( username and password ) - in a private reply. I will take a look at this to help you.
