I'm receiving a lot of spam results in my search form and I don't know why.
I installed Clean Talk antispam to help but it is still appearing.
I read somewhere to put this code in my robots.txt file but before I do that I wanted to make sure that this is not something in my theme that is better to stop the spam.
There is no option to block the search results index on the theme because it should be controlled from a plugin or robots.txt file. So, you can do that by adding the code to the robots.txt file.

Thanks again!
Hi @CalculatedTraveller, we are currently having the same issue. Did adding the code in the robots.txt file work?
No - it didn't work. CleanTalk directed me to this article.
https://blog.cleantalk.org/how-to-protect-website-search-from-spambots/
AND I just saw today that they are showing up in my Google Search console as "Index, though blocked by robots.txt"
@CalculatedTraveller, Thanks for the info
