If you got an error when generating critical CSS for a page - that means you have at least one CSS syntax error on that page - it makes the tool can't be Generate critical CSS. And the tool will let you know the CSS file has this error and error on what's the line. And you need to fix it to get correct before can generate CSS again.
Most of all this issue caused by your custom CSS or from custom plugins caused the systax error in CSS.
As I checked, this issue caused by a custom CSS from your end:
1/ Normally, you need to generate critical CSS for 4 pages:
- Homepage
- ONE URL for a single post => and it will apply to all your single post pages.
- ONE URL for a normal Page => and it will apply to all normal Pages
- ONE URL for an archive page ( e.g: One URL for a category page ) => and it will apply to all your archive pages ( category, tags, search, archive pages )
2/ Yes, but remember just use only caching features from Lifespeed cache plugin - don't enable minify, merge CSS/JS/HTML and don't enable optimize google fonts, lazyload...
