    Hi,

The problems is: You're not using Google AMP Auto Ads - while you've embedded the Google AMP auto ads.

Please make sure you don't check to add the Google AMP Auto Ads via Customize > Logo & Header > Load AMP Auto Ads Javascript or add the code:

    <script async="" custom-element="amp-auto-ads" src="https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-auto-ads-0.1.js"></script>

from anywhere inside the AMP settings.

I have this script loaded in the header of the AMP page (Customizer AMP>Header). Is that wrong? Should this be loaded in the header of the original page ?

  • Jan replied

So I had this script already loaded in the header of the AMP page. If it should be in the original page, I cannot find the place you say it should be

  • Jan replied

I have enabled Load AMP Auto Ads Javascript on the AMP page (in the header). But I get still this message when I try the AMP test : "The extension 'amp-auto-ads' was found on this page, but is unused. Please remove this extension."

So I don't know what I can do better. But I dont know how to solve this problem.

    Hi,

No - you don't use Google Adsense Auto ads, so please un-check on the option for load 'amp-auto-ads' script via Customize > Logo & Header > Load AMP Auto Ads Javascript

If you don't know how to remove it, Please send me your WordPress site admin URL and admin account ( username and password  ). I will take a look at this to help you.

    Hi,

No - you don't use it. Google detect you don't use Google Adsense Auto ads for AMP.

Check more guide for it here:

    https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9261309?hl=en

If so, you did something wrong and Google understands you don't use Google Adsense auto ads.

I know that text and I did place the script between the header tags. I also tried to use the Load Java script . But  the problem stays. I dont know what I am doing wrong. Can you please help me. Where can I send safely userid and password ?

  • Jan replied

By the way on Adsense Google tells me that AMP is on.

  • Jan replied

So for Adsense is everything ok. Google AMP says there is a problem, not Adsense.

    Hi,

You can fix it by do 2 things:

1/ Remove the code you've added to the header tag.

2/ DO NOT check to Appearance > Customizer AMP > Logo & Header > Load AMP Auto Ads Javascript

After done it, you can validate it again here https://validator.ampproject.org/

    Best Regards,

    PenciDesign

  • Jan replied

Now the Validation gives PASS. But now the script is not loaded, how can Adsense execute the Auto Ads? I thought you should load that script for Adsense AMP to work ?

  • Jan replied

Now i have removed the script AND unchecked the Load AMP Auto Ads. So no script is loaded now. Is that ok ?

    Hi,

As I said before, you didn't use the AMP Google Adsense Auto ads at this moment. You're using normal Google Adsense Ads - NOT Google Adsense Auto Ads.

Please do follow this guide if you want to use Google Adsense Auto Ads for AMP:

    https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9261309?hl=en

You were right from the beginning. I forgot to place the second piece of code with the publisher's id. Thank for the lesson and help. Problem solved.
