Trying to sort the order of the latest posts on homepage (after the categories widget) in ascending order by published date but it is not working. IT is currently showing very old posts.
EDIT: It seems the problem is there are 8 posts that are always stuck at the top despite the publish date being from the past. After these posts then the latest posts appear.

Please try to clear your browser cache then test again.
I've checked your site and have not found any post as your attachment image.

Found out what the problem was - the posts were 'sticky'. I have made the changes and now it is okay. Thanks
