    Hi Team,

I've been running some GTMetrix reports on my website (moviebabble.com), and I noticed that /wp-content/themes/soledad/images/penci-holder.png causes the total blocking time on my site to increase (see the image attached). I was curious what this image does, and if there's a way to fix this issue? Conversely, is this something that can be deleted altogether?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

    Best,

    Nick

    Hi,

The image filename "penci-holder.png" is used for lazyload purposes, while waiting for the image fully loaded, this image will display.

If you want to disable this feature, please go to Appearance → Customize → Speed Optimization → General → Lazyload, scroll down and check on options at Lazyload Images section.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    Great!

Do I need to have the Penci Speed Optimizer plugin activated for this change to work?

    Hi,

Page Speed Optimizer is a WordPress plugin that helps you optimize your website according to PageSpeed Insights (Core Web Vitals). Use it to speed up your WordPress website, improve SEO rankings, and lower Google Ads bids. You can read more information here: https://optimize.pencidesign.net/ and view this video:

Yup! I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to activate the plugin for the lazyload changes to take effect. But I checked off the disable options and the issue went away!

    Thanks for the help!
