Is it possible to specify that only one specified article is displayed each time and the remaining articles are displayed in order of publication date with "Pencil Featured Slider"?
You can try to do follow the steps below to do that:
1/ Set the post you want to fix on the slider as "Sticky Posts" - check this guide to know how to set sticky for a post.
2/ Go to edit your homepage by using Elementor > right-click to edit the slider > click on "Query" section and un-check on "Ignore Sticky Posts" to allow for sticky posts showing first.
