Hi I wanted to use the slider feature on my site, but have a couple of questions
1. I want to use the slider not as a true slider, but as a way to feature 4 posts on my home page or category specific pages. Is there a way to lock the slider so you can't swipe on a touchscreen? Currently the way it is set up anyone who has a touchscreen device can swipe left or right and it acts like it changes slides, only to show the same ones (because I restricted the number of posts on the slider)
2. Can I show the slider on just the home page to show all featured posts, and also on category pages show just the category specific featured posts. I do not want the slider to appear on any other pages at this time.
1/ If you want to do that, I recommend you use Elementor to config your homepage - and you can use element "Penci Big Grid" with "Big Grid Style 8" - check this image: http://prntscr.com/1zx61ys to get the same as you have now on the homepage without slider.

2/ If so, please go to Customize > Featured Slider > General > and un-check on "Enable Featured Slider on All Pages"
For the slider on the category pages, we will add support for showing the big grid on category pages/archive pages or tag pages in the next updated version of Soledad. Just wait and use it. At this moment, I think you should use it for the homepage only. The next update can be released in the next week.

Is Elementor different than the WPBakery plug-in and is it necessary to have both?
Hi,
Yes, it's different page builders. And you just need one.
I recommend you use Elementor only since the author of the plugin WPBakery Page Builder almost stopped developing that plugin.
