    Hello

    I followed all the steps on website speed optimization you suggested. There aren't any error messages.
    However when I check the website by pressing f12 on the keyboard. I don't see the compressed css file at all. Why is that? Did I miss it or is your system faulty?

    Hi,

    With we optimize speed modules, all the other CSS files will merge into one file and delay to loads, and you need to check it without logging in.

    Hi,

    We've said on the guide here about this.

    When you run the optimization, critical CSS will load first and all other CSS will be delayed until users interact. In this case, there is no need to minify the delayed CSS files.

    Anyway, we will consider loading the min files when you activated this feature in the next updates.

    I am activating the Soledad Child theme. But when I enter the css code in the style.css file in the child theme, it doesn't work. I have cleared all caches including: Critical cache, plugin cache, browser cache. When I ctrl+U, I don't see the child theme's style.css file being called, it's still calling the main theme's css file. Why is that?

    Hi,

    Please open/create a functions.php file on the child theme, make sure you've registered the style.css child theme on the header. For example:

    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', function(){
        wp_enqueue_style( 'penci-soledad-child-style', get_stylesheet_directory_uri(). '/style.css' );
    }, 10 );

    PenciDesign.

    Hi,

    Or please try to re-update the theme by going to download page - login to your Themeforest account and re-download the "All files and documentation" package > extract it and open the folder you received > you can see soledad.zip file for the latest version.

    After that, go to Appearance > Themes > click "Upload Theme" > Add New > and select to upload the soledad.zip file you got above > wait it upload and select to replace with current version you're using.

    Then try it again, it should works fine now.

    I had the same problem, losing my child-theme's style.css file after updating to version 8.0.7.

    Luckily, after I rolled back to the old version (8.0.6), and then updated to version 8.0.7 again, the child-theme's style.css file loaded properly. Hope it will be useful to you.

    Where can I hide the author info on the author page? Is this theme supported?

  •  2,612
    PenciDesign replied

    Hi,

    There are no options to disable the author info on the author page. But you can overwrite it on the child theme by copying the author.php file, then find & delete this line (line number 86):

    <?php get_template_part( 'inc/templates/about_author' ); ?>

    PenciDesign.

    Hi,

    In this case, please delete the Penci Shortcode & Peformance plugin, then reinstall it by going to Appearance → Install Plugins.

    Yes I did it. But since you update to the new version and configure it right on the website, the mobile version has a low score. It used to be 98, now it only gets 76 points. PC version works fine

    Hi,

    Let try to use W3 Total Cache instead of WP Fastest Cache. W3 Total Cache can help you reduce much more the server responsive time.

    Hi,

    About this issue, please check your Ad code again or view the report on Google Ad Dashboard. Maybe Google doesn't deliver ads to this position at this time. Your code is already rendered as HTML as the screenshot below:

    Hi,

    1. By default, the AMP page only shows when the user searches & accesses your site via Google search engine. If you want to show AMP instead of responsive mode, please go to Appearance → Customize → Penci AMP → Advanced Settings: Check the Show AMP for Mobile Visitors option.

    2. In my opinion, you should keep the current settings: this means all mobile visitor will view the mobile responsive mode and the AMP only show when the user click the search result of your site on Google.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    Hi,

    There is some conflict with the settings, by default the shape settings don't show on Image style.

    You can force the show the shape by following this trick:

    - Select Icon Type: Icon, View: Stacked/Framed, Shape: Circle/Square

    - Then switch Type to Image and select the Shape settings again.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    This is a bug, because if I don't, the default image will have the border-radius property. It makes the image circular. Hopefully in the new update it will be fixed.
