It was definitely faster before. This is 100% on the latest few updates. I'm elaborating now for almost 2 months on problems with my theme and images loading late and all I hear is denial and saying that the problems are everywhere except on Penci's side and their optimization plugin. You can clearly see that the optimization plugin is bad.
If you want to show the image immediately when the user visits your site, you can turn off the lazyload feature by going to Appearance → Customize → Speed Optimization → General & Lazyload.
I am having a very similar issue with my site. The images on the Big Penci Block load very slowly, showing a blank/gray images for a few seconds before the actual image appears. I have all the optimization settings set correctly according to the documentation. I am using Jetpack as my site accelerator and CDN service. I have tried to change the image size to the smallest one available for the block and there is no change. Please let us know what we can do to fix this.
Update to this: There is a disable lazyload option within the Elementor Widget for the Big Penci Block that I did not know existed until I was finally told in my private ticket I have open.
Hi,
Since the last update, images are taking a century to load, both on mobile and computer. Sometimes the feature image won't even load.
I'm using WPRocket as a caching plugin and I set it up the way you recommended in the documentation.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
Please go to Appearance → Customize → Speed Optimization → General & Lazyload: try to turn off the
Delay all images loading in the first screen to optimize the LCP value option then check again.

Hi,
Thank you. However, it didn't change much after turning off "delay all images...". It's still very slow.

Hi,
1. I've checked your site, all the images are loading normally speed, you can view the video below:
2. If you want to speed up the image loading time, you need to use a CDN service like Cloudflare or Rocket CDN.

Hi,
Thank you for checking. I assure you that it used to be faster.
I believe it's a problem with your last update, then. Something made the loading slower as far as pictures are concerned.
I'll wait for the next update, hoping this will be improved.

Hi @fantasysixpack,
I've replied to this question on your ticket.
Please check.

Hi,
It seems that the images load much faster since the last update of the theme.
As far as I'm concerned, this ticket can be closed.
Thank you.
