    A few issues

    1. Error messages in back office 

    - particularly when updating the sidebar (Widget Area)

    2. Search icon on homepage issue

    Hi,

    In this case, maybe something is wrong with the WP-JSON or another plugin conflicts with the new UI of WordPress 5.8,

    Please install the plugin Classic Widget: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-widgets/. This plugin will revert the Widget setting to the old look.
