    In addition to the original image uploaded up to 20 additional sizes are generated during the upload, if I know the image sizes I need can I limit the number of image sizes generated?

    Hi,

    You can manage the image sizes by going to Appearance → Customize → General → Manage Image Sizes.

    You can also install & use the Media Cleaner plugin to search and auto-delete the unused image size here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/media-cleaner/
